Passion: He’s passionate about being a wholesome dad. Semi-known (in certain circles online) for his funny and relatable vlogs about How To Dad, wherein he and often Ripley star in. He recently reached 30k followers on social media which overall he finds amusing.

The last 15 years in a nut-shell: In a nut-shell within a nut-shell, Felix had it pretty much made in the shade with his wizarding journalism gig since he graduated from Hogwarts. While he briefly lived in the bustle of Diagon Alley, he spontaneously decided to move to a borough just outside London with a very low wizarding population. It’s how he met Tessa (in the queue for the premier of a popular sci-fi film), who quit her job as a freelance writer a year after Ripley was born to become a stay-at-home mom while she and Felix rushed into a relationship, all in an effort to meet friends’, family’s, and society’s expectations. Thanks to their love for their daughter, and a life-changing muggle family therapist, they learned it would be wrong to keep forcing a relationship and had a healthy and amicable split. Since then, they’ve been close friends/co-parents and Tessa has a burgeoning (if unconventional) business as an off and online sex therapist. It was with the help of her social media prowess that Felix stumbled into some internet fame of his own with his quirky (super muggle) social media page, which he gained by sharing his struggles with dadhood with a touch of irreverent humor and a lot of honesty, starring Felix and his vivacious baby girl with the sunbeam smile.

Anything else? He has a bunch of single dad friends he hangs out with now, thanks to meet-ups organized by viewers of his vlog. It’s a new thing and he’s grown close to a dad who moonlights as a drag queen. Ripples calls him Uncle Anita (from his drag name Anita Mann) and they like to go to the park to walk their dogs/strollers.

What keeps them up at night? The fact that he’s still keeping his magic a secret from his daughter and the mother of his child. He almost feels like he’s grown apart from the Wizarding World since Hogwarts, like the magic is gone, and in many ways it has. His days are filled with Ripley (a different kind of magic – one who may soon start showing signs of magic herself) and his life is in the muggle world. He hadn’t been dating Tessa that long before she was with child and in that messy period between finding out about the pregnancy and disentangling and rebuilding a functional family life with Tessa, his days spent in the wizarding world and the people in it felt far behind him. Coming to Abby’s wedding, a dear old friend, is something he is both looking forward to and dreading at the same time. Abby may not have been the most popular girl in school, but she was most definitely friends with her and everyone else in the wizarding world. He’s no idea which faces he’ll encounter at the grand affair or if he can even tap into the part of himself that used to care for them.
